A daisy-wheel printer is an output device which prints characters onto paper. It does this by impacting a round printer wheel, which has letters on radial spokes, into an ink ribbon. This forces the ribbon onto the paper beneath, transferring the ink in the shape of the character. The daisy-wheel rotates to select the desired character. It gets its name from the flower whose bloom the printer wheel resembles. The quality of these printers is excellent for text, but they are unable to print |graphics| or use different ~fonts~.
